Veracious Curls: Safe Products for the Whole Family

Veracious Curls is founded by a Tony and Bernadine, a husband and wife who wanted to create safe and clean products for the whole family. All of the products are free from sulfates, silicones, mineral oil, phthalates, and parabens. The products are fragrance-free too which is great for those of us with sensitive noses and/or if we want to pair these products easily with other brands. The line consists of a cleanser, conditioner, and styling cream. The cleanser and conditioner can be purchased in 8oz/16 oz and the styling cream is available in one 8oz size.  Since I am fully-stocked on cleansers, I decided try the conditioner and styling cream. 

Conditioner

The conditioner has tremendous slip and can be rinsed out or used as a leave-in conditioner. It is easy to detangle in the shower. This conditioner, when left-in, mixes well with other stylers. I exclusively use this conditioner as a leave-in and apply it in the shower in four sections before applying additional stylers.  With any conditioner, I am looking for detangling properties (i.e. slip), and moisture. This conditioner fit the bill and because it is concentrated, I was able to get a lot of use out of my 8oz container. (I didn't track it, but I suspect I've used it at least 12-15x if not more.)

Would I re-purchase? Yes! What I love about this conditioner is that it works for the whole family. So if you have children, they can use this product too. Plus, it creates a really solid foundation for additional stylers.

Styling Cream

The styling cream is a slightly thicker version of the conditioner. The cream provides definition, reduces frizz, and provides volume as well. It can be used a standalone styler. But I prefer to pair it with the conditioner (left in) and a gel. This winter my hair has been craving moisture. Usually, I just use a leave-in conditioner and gel, but sometimes, my hair yearns for a styling cream and this one does the trick. It plays well with other brands and can be used on its own too.  It also is unscented like the conditioner.  

Would I re-purchase? Yes I would. I enjoyed using the conditioner and styling cream with one of my favorite gels from another brand. This cream has given my hair definition, and moisture during the winter months.

I knew I liked these products when I had one use left in the conditioner and a little bit of the styling cream left and I "saved" it for a trip last weekend out of town because I wanted to guarantee that my hair would look great. When you start saving products for special occasions you know they're good. :)
