Breahni Haircare Review
A couple of months ago, I saw that Breahni launched two NEW products, the Moisture Milk, and Light Hold Gel. This line is free from silicones, sulfates, parabens, mineral oil, and phthalates. Of all of the products in the line, the Milk and Gel are my favorites and have given me great wash and go's. Now let's get to the review....
Moisture Milk
This product has excellent slip. It melts easily into soaking wet hair. The scent is hard to describe but pleasant, sort of perfume-like (but it does not linger.) (I bet that if Breahni made a roll-on perfume of this scent it would be a big hit!) I applied the milk in the shower, in four sections, on soaking wet hair. This product lives up to his name as it provides tremendous moisture. I suspect it would serve as a great base for those of you who do braid-outs/twist-outs.
If I could change anything about this product, I might change/remove the scent only because I'm partial to lemon or lavender scented products. (But y'all know I'm picky about scents.)
Would I re-purchase this product? Yes. This milk is an excellent product that can be used as a leave-in conditioner. It serves as the perfect base for a wash & go for my 3c curls that crave moisture!
Light Hold Gel
The slip level on this gel is other-worldly. This gel is neither thick nor runny. It is just the right consistency. When I use a gel, I need my curls to clump and to be defined. This gel does both. It has the same scent as the rest of the line and pairs beautifully with the Moisture Milk. If your hair needs heavier products, you can also use the Curl Defining Cream as an intermittent step before the gel. (In this photo I used the Milk, Cream and Gel.) I don't think it is possible to be too heavy-handed with this gel.
I wouldn't change anything about this product. I do know that some of you prefer medium or strong hold gels. But I encourage you to give this one a try!
Would I re-purchase this product? Yes. I really love pairing this gel with the Milk. I get some of my best wash and go's with this combination. If it ain't broke....
I encourage you to give Breahni a try! Check out their website because they are having a SALE! Happy wash day!
