My Soigne Flaxseed Gel and Hair Cream: A Great Wash & Go Duo

I discovered the brand, My Soigne, via social media. Jackie Serchuk, the founder of My Soigne, shared that Soigne means "to possess an aura of sophistication and elegance." She created My Soigne to encourage women who have been told for years that their natural hair is wild or unprofessional, to instead celebrate the beauty and soigne of their natural hair. After perusing the website and instagram page, I reached out to the founder, Jackie, and asked if I might be able to receive the Hair Cream and Flaxseed Gel with a lavender essential oil fragrance to which she quickly responded, "yes!" Needless to say I was thrilled.

Hair Cream

The texture of the Hair Cream is similar to that of a hair lotion.  If you check out My Soigne's Instagram page, you will see that many clients use the cream alone, while others pair it with the gel. I've only used this product when paired with the Flaxseed Gel. I enjoy using this Hair Cream after I apply a leave-in conditioner (or a regular conditioner simply left-in.) My hair has been craving extra moisture this winter so I am heavy-handed with my leave-in conditioner prior to applying additional styling products.

Back to the Hair Cream, it is moisturizing and I enjoy using this product the most when I combine it with a regular conditioner (left-in) and/or a leave-in conditioner. I paired it with the 2girlswithcurls Conditioner (left-in), Hair Lotion or Styling Cream and was very pleased with my results. The gentle lavender scent is heavenly and not over-bearing.

Would I re-purchase this product? Absolutely!

Flaxseed Gel

I have tried several different Flaxseed gels and My Soigne is one of my two favorites! (The other is Curlmix. Click here for that review.) Back to My Soigne. The texture of this Flaxseed gel is completely different from others I've tried. When I make homemade flaxseed gel, it tends to be runny. This gel is more solid. Plus a little goes a long way. I bought two of the 2oz jars and have styled my hair 3-4x and only used 1 2oz container. Stated simply, if you buy this product, it will last you a long time. I enjoyed the lavender scent (identical to that of the Hair Cream.) This flaxseed gel is extremely moisturizing, perfect for this winter weather in the DMV.

Would I re-purchase this product? Yes, yes and yes. It pairs beautifully with the hair cream and other products as well. (Helpful tip, if you use purchase the 2oz jars, save them and use them when you travel!)
